EU Data Residency Confirmed
Pursuant to the service agreement between Jan Hachenberger and Base44, all application data for the Jaxon Hall App is stored and processed exclusively within the European Union.
Base44 provides EU data residency under its Elite/Enterprise tier service agreement, which Jan Hachenberger has contracted for this application. The underlying infrastructure for Base44's EU cluster relies on the following cloud service providers:
- MongoDB: Primary data storage and database hosting for application entity records and user data
- Render: Server-side backend function execution and API services
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Analytics and supporting platform services
- Langfuse (Germany): AI/LLM interaction logging, hosted within the EU
All subprocessors engaged by Base44 are bound by data processing agreements (DPAs) and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Note on AI Model Processing
While application data resides in the EU, prompts submitted to AI features are processed by Anthropic, whose primary infrastructure is located in the United States. These transfers are governed by the respective providers' data processing terms and Base44's subprocessor agreements, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Users should avoid including personal or sensitive personal data in free-text AI prompts. For more information on data processing by Anthropic, see Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Beta reader registration
To access the beta reader area, we collect the following personal data: full name, email address, self-chosen username and password. This data is used exclusively for managing beta reader feedback for the Jaxon Hall series and for access control. It is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in carrying out the beta reading process).
You can delete your registration at any time without giving reasons in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR. Use the "Delete registration" option on the login page of the beta reader area. When deleting, all stored master data (name, email, username, password) is irrevocably removed. Feedback already given remains in anonymized form, as it no longer has any reference to your person.
LYRA Chat (Claude API)
The integrated LYRA chat is supported by the Claude API from the service provider Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, San Francisco, USA). When you use the chat, the messages you enter and the conversation history are transmitted to Anthropic's servers and processed there to generate a response. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing an interactive AI offering).
When you open the chat for the first time, a notice is displayed that you must confirm before the conversation begins. Please do not enter sensitive personal data (e.g. health data, financial data) into the chat. The conversation data is not permanently stored by us; you can delete the conversation at any time using the trash icon in the chat. For more information on data processing by Anthropic, see Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
